Is it worth putting an extender sump and pick and increasing the oil capacity.

WELL I fitt6ed an half lit to me blown kombiy never had any heaating problems and it drove it along the hay planes towing a traler on a oil change it took nearly 5 liters

I just fitted a full flow oil filter with 1/2 lines and it increased the oil capacity from 2.5 litres to 4 litres. Killed two birds with one stone, more oil and filtered.
My engine does not run any cooler. It just takes longer to come up to temp.

If its standard.... maybe. The extra filter would probably be better. If you drive "spirited" I would go a extended sump, helps stop oil surge, extra oil and helps a little with cooling.

Unless you buy an expensive but well made Gene Berg one for a high-performance engine, the answer is NO. Read Bob Hoover's article on deep sumps at:
Unless you drive like hoon?Small sump aid in sloshing in tight turns.
Full flow it and get the benefits of a clean engine.
This will give you a little more capacity in oil and longer life in the motor , otherwise leave it as is.
