On my new 1303 I'm moving the fuse box into the boot and behind the glove box.
I wanted a more modern fuse box with blade fuses. I found this one one eBay and have already had one delivered item # 160405000702 from user dsperth
I made an offer and got it cheaper than the listed buy it now price.
The quality is excellent.

Hi
I have MK1 Golf GLS blinker and wiper switch gear, these are very similar to Beetles ones but are more rounded, so I'm going to wire it like a Golf, the biggest difference from a Beetle is that it will have a individual wire for each side parking lights (for Euro style left & right parkers) a separate number plate light wire and a wipers with a variable intermittent & wipe wash feature.
Fuse box layout
1 - low beam left - 8
2 - low beam right - 8
3 - high beam left and warning light - 8
4 - high beam right - 8
5 - heated rear window - 16
6 - stop lights, hazard flasher system - 8
7 - interior light, cig lighter, radio - 8
8 - turn signals and warning light - 8
9 - reversing lights, horn, engine electrics - 16
10 - fresh air fan - 8
11 - wipers, washer pump, int relay - 8
12 - number plate lights - 8
13 - right parkers - 8
14 - left parkers - 8
15 - radiator fan - 16
Plus a few extras that I will need
