Been meaning to post up a few pictures of a few buggy weekends that have been held on the Northe east Coast of Tasmania on the route known as the Bellingham to Bridport route.
Its about 35km of beach, sanfd tracks and sand dunes that travellers have to drive through. A top weekend for all those involoved!
Ive heard a rumour of a fellow AVD member in starting a Tassie VW Offroad club, if we could get a few more tasweigans involved in the off-road scene, there would eb a few fun weekends to be had!
First weekend was held mid last year, with a mates CB.
Complete with a dickhead mate!
Second weekend was held with another mates sand rail
third weekend was with a mates ex racing buggy!
Certainly if your interested in doing this beach run, shoot me a pm, its well worth the drive! Be good to get a club together, this area used to be covered in baja bugs but they have all died out, good to see a few of us keeping it going though!

Looks like a great place for some sand fun 🙂. My wife is push push pushing to get me to Tassie. Now I see it's worth a trip in the baja when she's finished.

Yea mate, i was down there having a bit of a piss-up. Dug the green baja out after sitting around for the last 10months, she handles like a Landrover! haha
Yea have to organise something soon, i have four people who would be interested in getting aclub going up north here, four new people so ill contact cashy sometime soon and see what the go is with the VW Club of Northern Tasmania, and if we can get it turning again. Fingers crossed! 😁

Howdy all. yere nice piece of tassie up that way, pleased i am well under way with our baja build, and yes would be very keen to join a club.
Graham,
Looks to me like this is the CB that belonged to "Greg" a couple of years ago. Seems like it sold in the 10-12k AUD range then.
Last I recall someone had it on a showroom floor priced at 36-38k.
Looks like it got released from its confines.
