anyone on here use skype. ???

I have had a skype phone for a long time...

only plugged it in a week ago....

and downloaded the skype program...

and I also have a camera....

Rang a friend in Mumbai, India from Ipswich, QLD.

Video a little slow but voice good.

We transfered files while we chatted.

P2P network so you can do file transfers.

Only cost was the internet connection as already had mic & camera and computer of course.

Skype Pro is great Lee. $3 per month gives you 6 cents per call to any landline in Australia for as long as you want to talk within reason. 6 cents per minute to UK etc.

Yep, had it for some time, just use our only puter, laptop, has camera and mic built in. free. Our neighbour uses skyp for all his telephone, land line rent and internet connection and that's all....aparently.

Had it about 5 years ago and went back on last June when family members were overseas.Use laptop with built in camera and mike.
Works well -bit slow sometimes but depends on connection.

I have heard of people using skype for all phone calls...

but You can't call 000...

or maybe You can call it... but it won't register where You are??

All My calls go thru My computer....
My Son owns the ISP...

costs 10cents per call in Aust... I think similar to overseas..

I just want to see who I'm talking too.... lol

Been using skype for ages. Regularly skype to skype to colleagues overseas, saves me LOADS. Great way of avoiding paying telcos, and that's a great thing in my book.

Been using it for a while. Live in Jakarta at present, and use it to call home. Plus everybody in the office uses it along with most of the clients. We set up conference calls with a extra that allows you to show a document onscreen to all poeple, and use a pointer to go through it....
