Fuel Hose replacement

Hi all,

I have noticed lately that the cotton covered hose that goes from the outlet side of the fuel pump to the carby is weeping a bit.

I know a lot of people insist on using the cotton covered stuff for originality...but is normal rubber hose just as good?

as long as it is propper fuel hose it is fine
