barls ·

does anyone one here have a subscription and recently receive their magazine with an address sticker on the front and no envelope or plastic on it.
ive recently had a similar thing with another us magazine. we emailed the company and they have since chastised the distributer here in australia and made sure it wont happen again.

Scarab ·

wow thats pretty poor! Stickers on stuff like that are my pet hate! I would be spewing to get it like that, not cool!!

Scarab (aka: Paul)

matberry ·

Yep, mine too, who did you email? Good plan.

Lucky to arrive I reckon.

barls ·

im planning on using this one
nsfscustomerservice@earthlink.net
ie the head company contact email address. if enough of us complain they will fix it.

Uber Kafer ·

thanks.
Mine turned up ripped. Not impressed. I will definitely be sending a snarl-o-gram to the culprits.

Special Air Service ·

Same here, I'm not far off in ending my subscription. Hopefully they will correct this if enough complain. Not real keen on getting a wet, ripped magazine. Thye seem to be getting a whole lot thinner as well.

Cheers

I have just sent this to Hot VWs Dean Kirsten

will advise on there responce

Dean

Sorry to send you this message, but would appreciate it if you could pass along to the Michael Sommer and Judy Wright, as i dont have there Email address

I rang the office the other day but got the run around on the automated system, even that didn't work when i pressed the extension numbers.

Anyway i expressing Australian's disgust in the distribution and mailing out of our Hot VWs magazine subscriptions

I have just received the latest issue in the mail and was most up set to find it not in an envelope, but with a giant address label plastered to the front cover,

all of the other subscribers here in Aussie have also discussed there dissatisfaction with this method of mail.

My copy was received damage and i am not very happy.

I understand in these economic times, with cost cutting and trying to save money , but to post our magazine half way around the world unprotected is not on

This method may work well in the USA but our subscriptions fees include $18.00 extra for international postage , surely this would include and envelope or even a plastic cover like it used to

Positive action

David, you are not the only one that has been unhappy about the lack of a polybag.

What you should know, and others who subscribe to Hot VWs, is that starting back again with the July 2010 issue, all subscriptions will once again be polybaged.

The condition of the magazine is utmost in all of our minds and having it come ripped and torn was just not an option. We tired to cut costs, like all publications, but it was not worth the problems that have come up.

Please let others know that we heard their complaints and we are doing something about it.

good to hear dave.

vw54 ·

Looks like they have done it earlier as i just received the June edition and it was wrapped in plastic

A good win hey

ratty 63 ·

Awesome to see a result - I just received my June edition and it was plastic wrapped once again (and in better condition than the un-wrapped editions.)

Great to see.

Dave

haven't been able to read mine yet, will get to it in August, but hope that it wasn't too ripped. If you e-mail back, thank them for listening to their readers - I know th subscriptions are what helps to pay the bills (and advertising) but a few magazines still push ahead regardless of what their readers say/do - and eventually suffer.
Good to see that Hot VWs listen and are willing to admit they went too far.
Cheers

grumble ·

Thanks barls the new mag has turned up in the bag again, bag was a little damaged but better that than the mag.

Uber Kafer ·

Maximum good-karma points for customer service for HotVWs magazine. I lodged a formal complaint with the magazine distributor, and cc'ed Hot VWs.
I got a response from HotVW's, as well as a replacement magazine for the one that arrived ripped.

I'm impressed!!

Paulc1964au ·

I subscribed online about a month ago and have not received any acknowledgement at all. I then sent an email asking where it was at and nothing.

barls ·

grumble had the same thing keep at them
