okay sick of tripping over it in the shed so the ej22 (1993) has to go , comes with computer and half the orig exhaust all wiring and parts that make it run inc subi starter but not the conversion kit .

will now chuck in 97 wrx ej20t block n heads (still together) and a ej25na dohc with manifold $350 for the lot . wrx block has reco heads but a conrod problem and the ej25 has reco heads but blown gaskets (previous owner cooked it)

221 is earlier engine so 135bhp lower torque at higher revs and 222 is 143bhp but more torque at lower revs so means it's a nicer engine.
Engine number should tell you 馃檪

it doesnt go into the aus models but theres 3 models of EJ22 used in AUDM libs
90-94 gen 1 EJ22M 100kw/ 189Nm @6000rpm
95-96 gen 2 EJ22E 94kw/ 190Nm @ 4400rpm
97-98 gen 2 singleport exhaust EJ22? 98kw /193 @ 4400rpm

i think maybe a few people have heard that from... people.
sometimes money is tight and you just have to do what you can... which sometimes means not taking on a conversion that can cost easily 5times the engine cost (or alot more in this case)

Well he's got the engine and ecu plus adapter plate but you still gotta sort a radiator and piping up to the front of ya bus 馃檪

you would need to make a crossmember , sort out fuel system or get a efi kombi tank (i do have a bay tank with a commodore v6 pump fitted inside it) i also have a hq v8 rad pretty good cond might even be brand new, stock clutch might hold up to a ej22 , not sure if you would need to flip throttle body/ manifold .
vss ie speed sensor but i modded the speed sensor out of the subi front cut in my wagon to fit inside the stock guage housing.
This is a cheap engine which woulb be great for a conversion or parts.
bargain on up to 5 grand for a type 4 rebuild getting a shop to do it.

for an extra 100 bucks I'll chuck in a 97wrx block with heads and a ej25 na dohc motor ej25 has blown headgaskets but also had reco heads in the past and ej20t has conrod problems . thought both had blown headgaskets but only 25 also they have been sitting outside .
