Time has come to put a subaru motor into the fast back so I'm selling the type 4 motor as its no longer required. Is a good runner and has provided several years of good service. It is complete from flexplate to tailpipe and air box to sump plate. I have just replaced the alternator with a tested second hand one and has a new 009 distributer fitted recently as well. The carbys could use a kit put through them and this is supplied with the motor. Also comes with a spare 1700 engine for spares if you want it (condition unknowen).
I really want it gone as a complete unit but i do have a few people looking for parts so i may part it out if it gets no more interest shortly.

Marsden is just south of Brisbane, sort of behind Beenleigh area ( Logan Shire ) Let me know if he is interested as the engine can be seen on m ost days except tuesdays and fridays.

I have seen them put into baja bugs, but they are a big heavy lump and probably would require a lot of the sheet metal to be removed. Also the Type 3 needed to have coil over shocks fitted to the rear to support the weight. But hey anythings possible 🙄
