Hey Guys

Nearly finished but ran into another problem, the fresh air box up front has two hoses going into it from the two side air vents, problem is, if you look at this picture they dont line up anywhere near close enough. Yes I do have the side ones in correctly and that centre one also can only go in correctly.

Anyone have any ideas.

i JUst looked at my vw and the fittings are the same size .
you must have parts off of two different models ???

ian.mezz ·

oh yeah make sure you have a plastic cover over the radio as water does get in.

Joel ·

all that is correct parts for the 71 onwards style flow through ventilation.
You're just missing the corrigated reducer hoses that join them up.
I may even have some still in my crap pile

On mine the pieces that join those pieces have different izes on each end, and they are also offset. Looks like thats what you need

Thanks Guys

Joel, would be fantastic if you could find some, I have spoke to a couple of wreckers down this way and they said they throw em when they strip.

Yes,
the ones on My beetle which are not actually connected to the fresh air box at the moment...
are the same size and about 50mm away from each other..

just a small piece of the paper covered foil hose [as used in beetles] joins them together.. maybe 75mm long..
only thing, it may be an odd size...??

but I have ones from a 68 and 71 and I was sure they were the same sizes....
