Anyone used this stuff? I wont be running heater boxes so it seems to make sence but will it compromise cooling?

I can't think with your avatar waving at me.....maybe someone else can reply......

Ok

Had to check your avatar is still working.

No heater boxes, no fan outlets, nothing to hook up.

If you have heater outlets in the fan hsing, block them if you have no heater boxes.
Block all holes in the rear tinware to seal the engine bay and holes in any tinware, keeps the exhausted cooling out, makes the cooling air come in from the vents where it is supposed to.

YES

those fan shrouds aren't as good as the original VW ones...

I personally wouldn't use them...

all the ones I've seen don't fit properly either...

and whether they have ALL the metal air deflectors inside them??

Best to have the heater outlets on the original VW fan shrouds cut off and welded over.. IMHO..

Mitch, are you going TP or SP. Get a fan shroud off an industrial motor, they don't have the air horns, smooth from the factory and they fit. I've sold the two I had, but they aren't hard to find.

Cheers
