There comes a time when one must decide on wheels...
I am changing to 4 wheel discs soon and am trying to decide on wheels, the car will be used for the track and I need at least 5.5 inch width.
I am honestly torn between Fuchs, keeping my wide 5 solids but widened or Superlites.
Those of you out there who have Fuch'ed it up do you regret it ever?
Sides 路
I used to run Fuchs on my track car, and altho I loved the look I've moved away from them. This was partly due to class rules in Qld but also that I couldn't bear to scratch/ding them as often happens on track cars.
I've never regretted going 5x130 PCD tho... I now run 15" Phone Dial rims on a combination of 944 and 944T brake components... I quite like the look, and best of all Phones are dirt cheap in comparison to Fuchs !!!

Fuch!
I have a set of Cookie Cutters.
They will be available within the next month or two.
4 - 15x6
Very original wheels, never re-painted or refurbished.
The 'Cookies' have only ever been on one other car, my mate's '77 911 S.
Can you let you know when they're available.
Talking of Fuch, anyone know of a business that has experience painting 15" Fuch wheels?
Want the finish, the 911s of the early 1970's had.
The wheels are good condition.
Craig Torrens 路
Are you building the car to fit into a CAMS class for motorsport, or is it just going to be a fun track car ?

Which class ?
Max Dia is 15inch for the Improved Production class..............Fuchs are 16 inch usually ??
sander288 路
I'd be getting 15 inch replicas i'd say, the real things are to pricey... like the flat-4 6 and 5.5 inch models

Plenty of fuch 15s about, some on ebay now
But yeah an interesting point on the replicas, they are very nicely done and i guess you can afford to bend them being easily replaceable
Go the 6's tho
matberry 路
Replaca's....pfffffft
Go the real thing, heaps lighter AND stronger.
Even cookies are strong and lighter than a replica.
