Gday dubbers, I'm in the process of trying to remove an engine from the gearbox on a project and have hit a wall. The whole thing has been out in the weather for a couple of years, engine is siezed and very corroded inside and out, gearbox seems to be ok. Undid the 4 retaining bolts and tryed to pull the engine back,it only moves about 5mm then doesnt go any further. Have i missed something? Getting very frustrated

and don't forget the electrical wires to the coil and dizzy (i always do), but you can usually get the engine completely off the gear box before they become fully tensioned. another thing to watch is the exhaust. if the car has been rear ended and straightened out the exhaust can hit the inside of the rear valance.

there is no fuel lines or electrics. Its just a bare subframe with engine and gearbox. It seems to be the clutch has rusted onto the g/b input shaft and wont come off
