Mystery Folding VW? Gear Stick

Hey guys,

Not sure what section to stick this question in but this sounds as good as any. Can anyone please tell me what this gear stick is from? Apparently it's VW. It's spring loaded with the idea that when you slide up the bottom sleeve you can bend it down completely....you know for front seat nookie at the drive-ins and such. Ive never seen anything like it, and after showing a few VW enthusiasts these pics find that apart from them agreeing its VW that they also have no idea.

Any idea what it's from, if/where you get them and what they're worth?

Cheers
Isky

I've seen a few over the years, never as clunky looking as yours. Part of a camping conversion with the fold down, lay flat front seat kit.

clunky lookin!!? 😉 Thanks mate that makes sense. Any idea what models had them?

optional extra back in the day ! did ya get any work done on the kg today ?👍

nope but my Simon came over and chilled for a few hours...we went over all my latest 'cip' purchases (i.e all the parts im needing to complete the car) including his new KG pans i got him in, talked about our rides, what we would like to do, how to tackle stuff etc. Basically i got really excited!...again. Cant wait to start. Should have come round mate.
