We need a new pic of the day thread.
Unlike the pic of the week forum this doesn't have to be VW related, although noone will complain if it is.
Any of those desktop type pics you'd like to share stick them here, but you know the rules, keep it decent.
This ones been my desktop pic for a while

ryana89 ·
Vlad, the colour is known as BBM (Bright Blue Metallic), there also a variation called DBM (Dark Blue Metallic)
Matt, its actually a little 2 door MK2 haha, lets just pretend that was a typo😂
Here's some more MK2's
matberry ·

It would be even better if it was non metallic 👍
Imagine having a cobalt blue straight paint car. Straight paint as in non metallic.

my god that pile of split and oval window sections
priceless🙄😵💫😊
amazeer ·
how old is that pic of rear window sections? Would that be everyone replacing their split and oval windows with 60's "big" windows when they first came out???
Joel ·
bingo
Mid 60s I think, its from the samba archives.
Notice the oval dash board.
It was a "safety" upgrade for better vision as well as the tightasses trying to make their old bugs look like new ones 😂

Those are bug door mirrors sticking out just to give you an idea how thick that snow is.
ancientbugger ·
Ha! That reminds me of when I had a beetle in England and I'd shaved the door handles. I was worried that the solenoid and/or leaf switch wouldn't work as it was so cold but what happened was they worked perfectly but because of the lack of door handles I couldn't pull the door open as it was frozen shut. A screwdriver and chipped paint was the result and when the lights were on the whole of the front of the car glowed😀
Joel ·
Another enviro friendly bug.
I'm sure it probably ran when parked, if it had an engine 🤪

Steve would they be the original diameter wheels on the Golf?To me they look like theyr'e off a gocart (seem to fit wheel arches OK though)
