Mine only goes up to 100mph and then the needle just sits at the bottom of the speedo shaking.....

volma1 · 30 Sep 2002, 9:08 pm

Same speedo as on my silver 56 oval. Had a guy in a new Golf catch up to me yesterday as my speedo was off the dial and told me I was doing 125kph as I tried to tell him they don't go that fast. Have had the needle stopped by the pin on the zero mark on previous occasions, bugger. volma1

I tried to tell him they don't go that fast.

I bet his eyes were hanging out of his head like organ stops!

125 in an Oval!!! Holy shite. The fastest Iv'e ever been in the Grey beast was 85 and that scared the crap outta me. :o:o

11CAB · 1 Oct 2002, 7:52 pm

Grey57, take another look the speedo is in kilometres not miles. :thumb

Grey 57 · 2 Oct 2002, 4:46 pm

11 Cab - Yeah your right,..... used to reading miles in my oval and doing mental conversions to prevent getting me pic taken for speeding. !!!!
125 to 130kph in an oval, been there, done that, got the burn marks in my boxers to prove it !!!
Never again as I choose to cruize "slowly":thumb

Grey 57. may catch up with you if you are going to the weekend affair 25th Oct or meet me at the boat on the Sat morning and organise some cars to cruise with those going to Marysville.

Grey 57 · 3 Oct 2002, 3:45 pm

Volma , that would be great to catch up. I have booked for the Marysville weekend cruise and I am looking forward to it. Are you bringing a car over for the cruise?

Thats a good idea about cruising up from Station Pier. Let me know what the arrival time is and I'll meet you there. :thumb

Quickbug · 3 Oct 2002, 9:20 pm

lol i didnt notice that myself..
I'm used to miles too...
But not for long...
People freak when you fly past at 100MPH!!

volma1 · 6 Oct 2002, 7:24 am
