That's the new US-built 'Passat', to be made in the new Chattanooga TN factory VW has just built. That 'Passat' is a little different from the Euro Passat that we get.
Our Passat is due for a redesign this year and ours will be better than the US version.

Yeah, been thinkin about it, and having spent a bit of time in the US working in some of the cold(ish) area's... well there's a routine "run outside, start the car to warm up, run back inside and eat breakfast" which is pretty common.
In one of the plants I worked at, bitching about it was a 10-15 minute conversation every morning as people arrived... THAT's what the remote start is all about !!!
Other thing I learnt was an understanding of why you park as close as possible to the mall entrance !!!
