would like to buy goods from a private seller thats advertising on the samba have not done it before what should be asking from him in reguards to posting to make sure it gets here and how should i pay the funds safely he is the states any info would be good

Pay through paypal, I have had problems myself buying stuff from the Samba website. The other problem is most people on there will not cover shipping if something does go wrong.

yeah, we got vw door handles and stuff from the samba, We used paypal and postage was only about $8 we got the parts in about 7 days.

im spending around $450 do i get the guy to send it with some kind of registered post so it dont go on walk about not sure how it works over there

Coming from the states ask him to send it USPS with insurance.
Way cheaper than FEDEX, but still normally around a week, and gives you website tracking plus the $$$ back if it does go missing or is damaged.
Tho... I've bought lots of stuff, and never had a USPS package go missing or get damaged yet.
