flooded pacific highway kempsey area

hey all
I will be rolling thru that way around Tuesday next week
any locals about the area can let us know if the u think the highway will be open
by then?
any thoughts appreciated

1 lane open this morning early ive been told by newspaper trucks, prediction of two solid weeks of sunshine.
i really don't think you will have problems.

Just talked to my brother at Frederickton - he reckons it should not be a problem by Tuesday.

The last place to clear will be at Clybucca he reckons, so if you ring the BP Roadhouse at Clybucca before you go, they should be able to tell you.

You can go around there on gravel roads if you are stuck and don't mind - if you want/need to do this, give me a ring on 0418 841581 and I will put you onto my brother and he can direct you.

They are saying that clybucca should be open monday.

Just check the RTA trafic up date monday to see.

I just got home from Parkes - came up the Pacific Hwy from Newcastle to Port Macquarie - it was great - bugger all traffic - no trucks. Probably won't see that again for a while.

yep clybucca is the blockage at the moment, heralds from sydney to coffs harbour having to go west then cut back to the coast through dorrigo this morning.
unless your a newsagent you would not believe how dependant people are on the newspaper, stuff the floods ,dangers,blockades, accidents.
