4WDs WITH VERY BRIGHT BLUE HEADLAMPS

I have been noticing lately lots of 4WD vehicles with VERY VERY Bright Quartz Halogen Xenon headlamps..

naturally they only offend at night and I can't see what vehicles they are... only that they are 4WD type vehicles...
in My rear vision mirror [on the highways]

My only guess is that some 4WD shops are selling these upgraded headlamp bulbs and they are VERY BRIGHT...

so, maybe 100 watts which are illegal on the road...

I haven't noticed any cars with these headlamps...
the headlamps are roughly rectangular so they are not the round self leveling type of headlamps..

the only shape I can make out is roughly Landcruiser-pajero- patrol types of vehicles...
so, maybe they aren't new vehicles..??

these are very bright and maybe the bulbs aren't the same as the originals in that the filiments are in a different position...
otherwise they wouldn't be a problem...

but they are driving Me Crazy... oncoming and in the rear vision mirrors..

Lee its not just 4wd's ,all the new cars have bright bloody headlights, then there's the wankers who need the other set of lights on as well....馃槵馃槵馃憥

Yes Pod
those white bright fog lamps which cannot work in fog as they shine everywhere instead on just on the road...??

My Son would like to smash all those... lol

and foglamps were always amber...

same as ALL headlamps in France... AMBER...

but these headlamps are VERY bright on low beam...
You can actually see the shape of the headlamp when they are dipped on Low beam...

and BOTH are always that bright...

so they aren't shining thru fluted low beam lenses...

maybe they are the clear headlamp lenses with high wattage bulbs???
If they turn out to be all the same vehicles I am going to complain....
I can put up with every 2nd car in the country roads having one headlamp too high...

but these Are bad....

maybe they are New Toyotas Prados LC Patrols etc..

I'll have to follow one into town to see what sort of 4WD they are...??

cheers

馃憤 lol

bugzla 路

youll proberbly find they are hid 10000k up

bugzla 路

or phillip crystal vision

68AutoBug 路

they look like standard QH or H4 types of headlamps

not the HID or projection types

they are not round and are the light is coming from the complete headlamp on low beam...

they are bright bluish white ..

it is illegal to add HID or projection lights if they were not an option on the vehicle...

these really stand out....

You would still see them in a line of 20 cars even if they were on high beam and these lights on LOW...

Maybe My eyes are sensitive to the color???

but the bluish projector headlamps don't affect Me even when they hit bumps on the road...

I drive to work at 4:30am and drive past plenty of bright headlights that blind me. I just flick my highbeams on and burn their eyeballs as well.

It truly astounds me that places like Autobahn sell the drop in H4 HID kits even though they are highly illegal in all states.

People just buy them not knowing any different thinking they're making an improvement but they are just blinding everyone else on the road.

I'm seeing more and more cars with them now, you can always tell by the fact they are burning your retinas out when they're coming towards you.

HIDs work well but only in the right application.
I've got some f**k off HID spotties on my 4wd for X-raying the bunnies before I squish them but they are only for highbeam.
Low beam need to be in projectors to be safe and usable - still not legal though.

You can even buy HID kits for the fog lamps in the bumpers now. Just what we all need.

about 3 years ago I was pulled up by the police who were checking headlamps...
stopping most cars...
The highway patrol officer took one quick look at mine and said they were OK..
another "normal" police officer had a clipboard in His hand and the board was a gold color... as I had some U beaut bulbs that were supposed to be good... but were rubbish...
and He kept telling the HP officer who wasn't interested at all in Mine..
My Son told Me they were checking to see that the original headlamps were still in the car...
as HIDs or HIGH wattage blue bulbs were being used...

I don't think they were anything as bad as now...
I've even seen the roadside signs saying FOG lights must be off unless its raining or Foggy...

wait until the LED daytime running lamps get a bit brighter.. lol
and I think Audis have them on at night too...
