Ollie · 2 Jan 2012, 12:53 pm

To anyone cruising this Friday for the first Friday of the month cruise?

Or are people wanting to just chill out and get back into it in feb?

Hope nye was great for all!

as per last month I seem to be drawn between a meet and cruise with fellow minded veedub nuts or a 40th birthday party of one of my wifes friends, however this one is different in the fact it's at a pub in Newtown and there'll be people I know, so at this moment I'm prob not going but I hope it gets a good turnout,
one other point is maybe we need 1 thread at the moment I think there are 5 threads regarding der erste fritage (or however its spelt)

Camo · 3 Jan 2012, 7:14 pm

Ok, looks like someone has made a decision on the location. Now, how many can make it. I don't think it's much point if only 3 or so cars turn up (my thoughts only).

So maybe we can have a show of hands on whom will be there.

I cant make it, sorry.

Hopefully this is the location LINK

I won't know until late Thursday night as to whether I've had a successful headlight transplant, which will rather influence my roadworthiness.

kempos · 3 Jan 2012, 9:43 pm

I'm keen to join the fun. Gonna come up from the Gong :-)

A flyer has also be posted in the 2012 Events threads...

So are you bringing the bug?

fullnoise · 4 Jan 2012, 1:40 pm

I'll probably come. I like to drive the oval to work on Fridays, especially while the traffic is light.

I like the 2012 Sydney weather. It beats December 2011. Let's hope it stays that way.

XXX-1.8T · 5 Jan 2012, 10:58 pm

Hi

Great turn up, did anyone get any photos?

Where too next month?

Steve

Bizarre · 6 Jan 2012, 9:20 pm

mmmmm.......... dont think any one took pics

Think there was 12 VW's, 2 P76's, 1 Morris Cooper S, 2 240z's (260?) and a handful of other interesting cars

XXX-1.8T · 6 Jan 2012, 11:22 pm

Great to catch up again finally!

I think a few guys took pics with their mobiles hopefully they post them up.

robb · 7 Jan 2012, 3:30 am

1303Steve · 7 Jan 2012, 7:50 am

Hi

The guy that was working behind the counter that night told me that he took some photos of the cars and put them up on their website, I cant see them on the Harry's site.

kempos · 7 Jan 2012, 9:21 am

Hey guys, it was great meeting you all last night. I really liked the opportunity to get a closer look at other VW's and listen to all the different story's and ideas. Cheers

I took some pics on my phone. This is my first attempt at posting a pic so I hope it works.

It was a bit of a shame we didn't go for a cruise, but the drive up and back from Wollongong was fun anyway. Luvin the new stereo!! Maybe next time (which probably wont be til April for me). Hopefully by then I'll have done a few new things to the bug :-) . Look forward to meeting you all again and really hope this continues to grow, but I'm gonna struggle remembering all the names 🤪

Lance

kempos · 7 Jan 2012, 9:22 am

yeah, pics worked... here are a few more

kempos · 7 Jan 2012, 9:37 am

A few more...

kempos · 7 Jan 2012, 9:42 am

What's the trick to posting pics in the message rather than in the 'attachment' box??

The last pic is new stereo install, very happy with how it turned out. Just gotta remove the old head unit and repair it back to original...

1303Steve · 7 Jan 2012, 10:17 am

Hi Lance

Thanks for posting the photos.

I drove back home with Leigh & Belinda in the green turbo bug, we haven't cruised together in our bugs since 2004 when I sold my yellow bug and Leigh took his off the the road to concentrate on his house renos.
