Does anyone carry CSP here in Aus.............. I am after part no 129 893 113A

IF not I will order myself from CSP.

Craig

Bizarre ·

DOnt believe anyone carries the full range

CI have seen limited stuff at both Classic and Vollks

Can I ask what the benefit of the CSP tube is??

grumble ·

Why not just make one it is only a 10mm tube with a flange to stop it slipping through?

BeetleJuice ·

The CSP tube is quality, and they work.......except if one trimmed too much off the one he bought in the first place and the flexible cable doesn't cover the tube at the back of the engine.🥲...So then one has to buy another and measure and trimm off 6mm less than the 1st!

On a side note:

The CSP Bellcrank linkage works beautifully!

Gotta agree there!
Have had one on for about 2 months
I wont touch a hex linkage again

oh dear 😢

did you see the ones on the samba that have a small roller wheel for the cable on the engine bay side?

i'd be giving them a try if say, i stuffed with mine and had to get a new one 😘

Dasdubber ·

We do try and carry a decent amount of stock of CSP parts however unfortunately no accelerator guide tubes currently.

Daimo, I think I have a couple of those roller wheel guide tubes in amongst my own stuff if you want to try one.

Cheers
Al

yeah cool Al.

i didn't know you carried CSP, so that's cool........i ordered a roller tube after i posted and was thinking they probably not the go for what Craig is needing, but i guess he will let us know.

Those roller tubes are the go for a crossbar linkage, nice to hear your stocking them Al, I'm thinking a Berg linkage doesn't have the need for one as they don't have the cable alignment issues that you get with the crossbar style.

BeetleJuice ·

I'll stick with the CSP tube as like Matt said, if you don't have alignment issues.

From reading on Samba, the roller is designed for the crossbar linkage.

I know when I get the tube length right, the CSP will be even smoother. The flexible cable is sitting too low and there is a little drag. I can feel it through the pedal.

bushed ·

your drag may also be inside the chassis coduit wearing a groove and cutting the conduit???
