Just cap both ends, fill with water then feed a really small hose from the bottom through the window. The drip, drip, drip will keep you coolish until it drives you nuts.... Then you won;t notice the heat anymore.

what are those tubes on some beetles actually for?? i've always wondered. i thought there were for carrying you'r skis or fishing rod or something
