noticed a trend that several themes that always seem to get a predictable response (howled down) whenever they are mentioned.
Non-stock single carbs - response = always get a caning.
Overseas internet purchases - response = support your local business instead.
Any mod or replacement part that remotely looks like being non-compliant in NSW or VIC.
Any others that I have missed here?

The problem is Girderman, that the blanket statement of 'oh yeah, that xyz is no good' or 'I had one, it was great' has a million-and-a-half permeations (sp?) between working correctly and being a piece of sh1t. Guess it's hard to get all the facts on a forum....totally depends who responds at the time, never means it's reliable. Not to mention, xyz might be fine, just not working properly until this and that are modified or what ever....you get the idea.

You're right tho - what works great for one person, might not work at all for someone else for a zillion different reasons... including even how that person drives or what type of fuel they use.
Just one of things that makes Volksy's such a great hobby I reckon... even tho people have been playing with 'em for well over 50 years, there's still new stuff being tried all round the place and things being learnt... some I'll do and like and keep, and others I won't !!!

I would like to be the fun police and jump on people that don't use capitals, fullstops or similar. It makes the sentences very hard to read.
Also, I would punish those that promote their own threads with garbage that is a total waist of time. Just so they can see their own story at the top of a particular category.

Whilst on a role, I hate persons with no common sense. Just ask my wife, I am regularly chipping her as she is very hard to have a discussion with. She jumps from one thing to another and the conversation doesn't flow. On second thoughts, this might be just a woman thing.

Putting a Subaru engine in a Veedub always draws death stares.... I don't see it any different to the hot rods, cool old skool car with a modern engine to make it nice to drive
