So last weekend Jase and I were talking how we really missed the Uber rat this year at the Jambo, (ie; Tonz's 8ball or Brent's Purple rocket)
So we had this hair brained idea to get something happening for today (Our Easter show).
As most of you know I built a rat CB back in 2005......
What most of you don't know was there was another, much rattier CB (KO752) That Dad and I owned at the same time. It has been dragged through a few
house moves and was happily out to pasture in Dads back yard, until last Saturday that is, hahaha.
As it was only a body we needed a pan too, so Dad donated the pan from under a half built choptop that he recently found......
We through in a spare long axle box, got the body on and took it around to HQ............
The Pan as of Sunday............
The Pan as of Tuesday, 6in narrowed beam, notched spring plates lowered 3 splines, 17in Escras............
Engine in.......
And Body half on Thursday..........
And Thursday arvo we're done..............
2Dots ignition panel.............
All loaded up and ready for the show......
In all the rush I didn't get any pics from today
Huge Thanks to Jase, Dad, 2dots, Brodie and all the other Bendigo Squadron boys
It was a huge hit 8)
Mate that is cool.
I have a dream of CB drag car
Very Cool, and thanks for another CB to add to the Gallery
I love it when a plan comes together
Looks great, well bloody done
Kev
Keep pumping them out Rhett.....
What is the next plan.???
Great looking vehicle.
countrybuggybill
Thanks guys
No plans for it really Bill, It's really pretty rough.
I have a few more ideas for it before the next show we take it to. No plans for resto as yet though.
A few pics from the show yesterday...........
And parked up with my mate's CB KO377........
By far the best original un-restored CB I've ever seen...........
Thanks again for the positive comments
That's insane!
I have only just seen the pictures, fantastic CB, low & ratty a great look!!!! Well done!!!!
Thanks guys,
I haven't even looked at it since Easter, I'll have to drag it out and get some more work done before it's next outing in August.
Last weekend The Federation of Motoring clubs held their Annual picnic out at Marong, I thought it would be cool to drag this out there. So we lifted
it up a whisker to make it a bit more drivable and through on some 17in BRMs (thanks Fingers)...........
(thanks Dino for the pics)
It caused a bit of a stir, it was funny listening to all the "experts" telling their mates all about it
