Car fridges
zeuspig - December 7th, 2012 at 03:04 PM

Am thinking of putting in a fridge in the Texaco bus.

Where is the best place to get them and can you get different types.

I am not sure what I want if I could get a retro type one and get it painted or go a glass type fridge so you can see the beer chilling.

Know of anywhere that would sell anything like this?

The auto electrician has it wired ready to go

I bought an Engel this year that is over 35 years old. It's a little battered but still cools like it's brand new. If you put the dial much over half it freezes everything :D

I'm planning on giving it a tidy up and probably painting it to match the Baja.

The next thing you will also need to have a look at is whether your battery is up to the task.
When/how are you going to use the fridge?
If it's going to be for prolonged periods without the vehicle running you will need a good battery or possibly consider a twin battery setup if you don't already have one.

Engle... x - Eleventy billion... Low current draw , can't kill'em and the new ones come with low batt cut off and digital preset temp . I run an extra deep cycle battery and never have issues... cold beer all the time! perfect!!
