Watching them convert a bug into a buggy
I haven't been watching them much..
they only replace things that have to be replaced but leave everything else the same... which is crappy in UK weather and lots of salt about...
it is interesting to see how much good used parts and new replacement parts are available for all the vehicles they fix up..
would be much more difficult down here to do those things at the prices they do them at..
LEE
Yeah definitely couldn't do it in australia for those prices. They were able to do the buggy for 3700 pounds and that includes a new kit and a replacement floorpan.
Watched it, Great timing too as i am giving my brother in law a hand to build his buggy
The Turbo channel on Foxtel is running the Beetle Crisis series as well I think it must be the second series.
no ive seen the Beetle crisis before
he spends days preparing and filling the under side of the chassis
then sprays sound deading on it for some reason would have look much beeter in stock paint
the buggy conversion was very cheap couldnt do it for that price here
You wouldn't even be able to register that buggy here , as no roll overprotection was fitted AT ALL .
It was also a very simple buggy with no front or rear barwork , cannon exhausts , and the existing mighty 1300 twin port donk
