Hi guys.
I had pretty bad sunken valve on cylinder 3, so I changed out the head. It wasn't til I had finished that I realised I had done it rather quickly.
From start to finish, including breaks, and fumbling with tricky nuts and bolts, it took me 6 hours flat.
I think the process went like this.
Exhaust off, carb off, tins off, dizzy out, rockers and rods out, head off, cleanup spare, new head on, rods and rockers on, tin on, dizzy in, carb
on, exhaust on, set timing, set valves, ignition.

I'd like to hear of other roadside repair time statistics.
took me 8 hrs to assemble a short block after thinking I had a crack in the case :P. bolting up long block to gearbox, throwing pistons, barrels,
heads, rockers, tin, carb, exhaust, fan etc back on and tune up. Only took proper torque measurements for the heads themselves with the 8 nuts,
everything else i just threw together by feel (after breaking many bolts and studs on all cars since teenage years you get a feel when enoguh is
enough)
It was the rush to be ready for warwick lol. Type 1 block though and done it a few times.
