What happened to the domain/site?
PranK - February 18th, 2013 at 03:46 PM

Hi Guys,

Just wondering why we can't access the forum via the domain anymore? Noticed its an empty Drupal install.

The site links to http://aussieveedubbers.com/forum  which doesn't work (empty Drupal forum.)

Happy to help fix anything or even provide advice if its required - I own http://www.skylinesaustralia.com  and am also a Drupal dev as a day job.

Just noticed I can use http://forums.aussieveedubbers.com  but still think the main domain should at least link here.

Yep, empty Drupal install for some reason...

Probably wouldn't have chosen Drupal myself for this website, something as simple as WordPress would have been plenty for here anyway.
Have contacted vandaraj a couple of times asking about doing a WP install so we can have some sort of blog/feature page or something...

Ah well, hopefully we can get something going and looking the goods.

I need to fix up links like that. The forum hasn't been located at http://aussieveedubbers.com/forum/  since late 2005, so if you're using such an outdated link, I'm *almost* okay with that. The surprise factor of being inside Drupal with no obvious way to here is not good though.

Why the empty Drupal? Lack of summer holidays! I was trying to update the empty main site with some content, but Drupal has its own forum (which is not as powerful as this software). I really need to get some content into there.

thanks,
Andrew

Even if the link is from the homepage? :?:

Wouldn't take much to redirect people here. Could do all sorts with the Drupal install in a very short amount of time.

Have a latest topics on the homepage (feeds module.)
Redirect people here from /forum (field_redirection module.)

That at least would provide some content and not let people leave thinking the forum doesn't exist any more.

Keep up the awesome work you do here Andrew, agreed that if you have the time in your crazy schedule this will need to be a priority for AVD. I've had several people ask on Facebook and other forums what's happened to AVD as they can't access it. You say that link hasn't been active since 2005, but I too and others have been using that link also until recently and it's the link from this page to the home page?

I'm also impressed with the guys that keep this site alive.
I can't even find time to get my website working!

I found I couldn't get on the site at about new year.
Couldn't get on through the main web adress.
Was going through my first experience of web induced separation anxiety!
Everybody had gone away!

Finally got on through google and a parts sale ad some weeks later.
Go figure!
