It's probably already a topic which in my I just haven't noticed. But what's everyone's thoughts on the 2013 beetle. I checked it out the other day and its a vast improvement over the last one.
Still nowhere near the original ofcourse, and for some reason the salesman I talked to thought that a steering wheel for my old one would cost $2000

Hate it. Won't be cool till the engines in the back and a flat four.

Or atleast rear wheels drive...

Love the new look... I reckon only second in sexy'ness to the Scirocco R.

Launch day up here is Sat apparently, but have some time booked in one tomorrow through Ian Boettcher VW that sponsors our club... will let you know what I think after bit of a fang !!!

Yeah I like the new look. The dash is also a lot better.
I was lucky to play a part in the launch the other week in Brisbane. This time around Volkswagen are starting to see they have a history just like all things that have become an icon.
They wanted to display where it all began and where they are with it now etc

Looks nice and will go fast but too exspensive. They have forgotten their roots.

But I know what you mean. I was watching the Graham Norton Show and it took me a fair while to work out who he was.
Mainly cause I don;t know much about the black eyed pees like you yound at heart folks.

I sat in the one in Ian Boettcher motors today and it was pretty good. When I first saw pictures of it I wasn't impressed but it has grown on me over time and it was a lot better in the flesh than I expected.

If you could fit a towbar I would probably buy one.

I got emailed pictures from the launch today but most are copyrighted by the photographer etc. Anyway In talks at the moment to arrange one to be at the Jamboree in April.
