I need to get someone to replace the drivers side pan half, as well as some rust repairs on the bottom of A-pillar and passenger front wheel well.
Also, I would need to get the clutch tube looked at and a new fuel line re-run (currently a plastic hose through the cabin).
Should I look at getting the floorpan painted with Por-15 while its off?
Can anyone give me a rough estimate for this work? I understand this depends on the extent of the damage, heater channels and whatnot...
$500?$1000?More?
Any feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks alot!
depends on how much needs to be cut out and replaced... upwards of 1500 more like it...pm me i have a guy that does my cars he is really really really good but in crookwell kinda near goulburn nut worth the trip...
Consider getting another pan and doing a swap
Could be easier and cheaper
Depending on how often this may need to be done, why not consider taking some night classes and learning to do it yourself? A good welder will set you
back about the price you are looking at to repair it, then you can do it as many times as you want, haha. Also opens up a whole new avenue of cars you
can work on that you may or may not have poopooed after seeing the rust in them...
Just my 2c anyway
How long is a piece of string, once you get into it there could be more than you think, could even be less, there is no cheap job, if it is done correctly and treated after the repair is made you should not have a problem, if it is roughly repaired and filled with bog then expect to do it over and over as stated above, it expensive to do it correctly.

I would love to have a go myself and my old man has the welding gear. Just no space or storage and keen to get it on the road.Once I buy a house this
year (and my old man downsizes and offloads all his tools) it will be a different story.Who knows, come next year when he is retired and not off
galavanting around the world enjoying retirement we may be able to do some work on it together
