I've used one from BODYLINE AUTO ACCESSORIES..............PHONE 1800803435.
can't find a web site on the pack though I'm sure I did visit one when I was looking for the product, mine is chrome but I kinda recall that they had various finishes in their product range, Ausie made too so should be available at most spare parts and auto accessorie shops, think I got mine from AUTO ONE.

I haven't actually seen any black about on ebay but

the MOST important thing is the adhesive..

If its 3M brand - it WILL stick....

many others fall off after a while... even when the surface is cleaned with alcohol pads... [to get any wax off]

many overseas strips don't handle UV very well...
some [chrome resin] only last about 6 months in Our sun..
before losing their shine.. then if 3M adhesive...
it takes a lot of rubbing with eucylyptus to get the adhesive off... lol

you are kidding right?

3M adhesives suck, at least most of them.

They make good products but their adhesive tapes are lacking.

I shouldn't be dissing them as they our customer lol but I have used many other products in question where the adhesives were way better the the 3M version.

maybe I can give it a go and see if its any good first, the way it attaches to the car will not rely on adhesives too much so it might be ok, if not its another brand for sure.

Hi Vlad
3M are the best adhesive attached to those strips I've bought from the UK...

all the ones from China etc.. all fall off after a while...
some times only a month or so... and the paint has always been cleaned with alcohol wipes...
the non 3M tape comes off the strips not off the paint.. lol
I've never had one with 3M tape on it fall off...
so, its better than the no names tapes .. lol

I haven't used 3M double sided tape myself...
its whats on the strips already...
so, there are a lot worse than 3M.. lol

cheers

in the industry I work in, double tape is a common and critical part of what our customers use. there are many double tapes far better than 3M but which consumers will never see. hardly an of our customer use 3M tape as they feel its not strong or long lasting enough.

i have used some Spanish double tape and it was mindblowingly awesome.

Any good paint shop can also supply you with a good tape that works better.

the worst masking tape I have use which was on par with those sub dollar china ones was 3M. I am using one atm called Loy tape. its shits all over anything I have used at least 3 fold even over that $30 roll of blue bear tape. :dork: and it was like few bucks each.

paint mobile sell Loy tape.
