Ive heard about a wizard roadster kit for beetles that was made in the 90,s and just wondering whats the story behind the kit ? Does anyone on avd have one ? And is there a supplier that makes them still? And what other kits have been made for a beetle ?

I don't if you will ever see one in the flesh, all the bog has most likely fallen off them and they have rusted away, they made an already impractical car more impractical

Dunno if anyone on the Gold Coast remembers back in the early 90s there was the rental company that had a fleet of yellow convertible bugs and even a couple of topless type 3s.
They had a few of those roadsters too

The mob that made those ones were in Victoria in the late 80s-early 90s, forget the name of them but they were notorious for cooking engines.

They were left with bugger all cooling vents and they hack those gills in under the gaurds so the fan sucked in all the dust off the wheels
Used to slice your hand open changing spark plugs

There are a heap of wizard roadster looking bugs getting around Perth, unsure if there was a business who had made them in W.A also since I used to see so many?
