barls - April 9th, 2013 at 04:52 PM

What ever someone is willing to pay unfortunately

rat gav - April 9th, 2013 at 04:58 PM

just after a ruff price of what to ask for or what ppl think

MISS VDUB - April 9th, 2013 at 04:58 PM

I second Barls... once a car has been that molested from original, the price is as custom as the car.

this is it what and sorry thought he had it for sale he is looking at buying it

MISS VDUB - April 9th, 2013 at 05:17 PM

Is it just be or does this have just one shaved door handle? Being left hand drive in a right hand drive market, I hope the seller isn't expecting big dollars. It's definitely a matter of what ever someone wants to buy it for it unfortunately. It's "unique"

I go to all the shows in QLD and have never seen this thing. If this seller is the same one i'm thinking about that imports VW's from the states, he's a total wanker and lies. If not, I apologise in advance!

rat gav - April 9th, 2013 at 05:44 PM

this is the one its a mate that i see some time and he wants to buy it not sell it and the guy selling it wants 16gs and my mate wants to know if its to much to pay

nils - April 9th, 2013 at 06:04 PM

politics aside, it is very pretty

Bizarre - April 9th, 2013 at 06:14 PM

If it is as good as the photos - I would say more than the $5,600 it is on ebay

All depends on the quality of custom work, rust and mechanicals

ian.mezz - April 9th, 2013 at 06:20 PM

how you going to go thur the Maccas drive thur
I think it would be better to find a aussie RHD .

helbus - April 9th, 2013 at 06:42 PM

In my opinion, I would say that with a current Road worthy certificate and registration, it could sell for $10,000-$12,000. It may cost double that to build one, but that is how markets work. Rarity and desirability play a big part.

Stinkbug - April 9th, 2013 at 07:26 PM

is it a bogged up rust bucket?be very careful of freshly painted american cars.thats my advice:smilegrin:

hellbugged - April 9th, 2013 at 07:40 PM

Worth sfa once the paint gets burnt during a RHD conversion

Have a look at the cal look beetle F.S of "apple" ....

Ooh that looks sweet. But ye beware of bondo in American cars... notorious.

Interesting treatment on the front and rear bumpers, not sure about the front indicators, impossible to see in the day from any angle except front on, love the upholstery though.

vwo60 - April 11th, 2013 at 07:13 AM

if your friend bids on the car, he will have to deceide what it is worth to him, the market will set the price, being a left hand drive car it is worth less than a right hand drive equivelent, you realy need to inspect it before bidding as you never know what surprises it might have. on another note it is not approriate to call anybody a wanker and a liar on this forum.

1. Extremely unprofessional behaviour for a Super Moderator to be making comments like this.
2. It's not a 'Thing' its a Beetle
3. Please dont call it 'molesting' if you have never modified a vehicle away from its factory original state. I'm sure that Miss VDUB has molested many a vehicle.

It seems like the benchmark has been set and anything goes now on this site!! I'm sure this post will be censored!
