This is KO0408. It was the CB from Newcastle area that was for sale that was sign written advertising a roofing company I think.
I had it listed as KO 498 but it is definitely KO0408. I spoke with the owner at the Blast, he purchased it from the guy at Newcastle only recently, narrowed the front by 8 inches either side, lowered it, took off the reduction hubs and gave it a coat of multi paint. He wanted something good to start with and was always going to modify the way it turned out. Motor is still 1300cc and this is the next piece of the project.
It now lives in Sydney.

The guy was concerned that I would not like the vehicle as the originality was now gone but my take is simple- I want to see them back on the road and don't care what the footprint or the body is like.
I was really taken with the ride height and rims setting the vehicle off.

Does not mean that I don't like my original old girl although they are definitely not a vehicle fit for winter. See the attached for me arriving at the Blast from Past. ( I think the blast was ice).

Yep that is my Country Buggy, thanks bill, it is the metal roofing one, my own built new 8 inch beetle beam, still has the reduction boxes, flipped, new paint job and sitting on the floor, good fun to drive, was very happy to see the amount of interest in it at the show ! I thought, bill is either going to really like it, or really not like it but he was quite impressed !

Ah yes, I see the Numberplate is the same. I had it listed as KO 418, but the pic of the number is a little blurry.....

Although the stamping is quite thin, im quite certain that it is 408. Thanks for the comments, approx 2 month transformation! Many hours and mods put into it and a complete change of a car, well worth it, plenty of fun !!
