Having done the "Classic Week" for the past five years, I figured it was time to extend the invite to some other vw nuts and bring a group of
guys/girls over to see the SoCal VW scene!
13 of us arrived in LA last Friday and after a quiet first day, we were up bright and early (5am gates open) Saturday for Pomona....pics below:

Whilst the VW events are the priority of the trip, for those who haven't been to the US before, some sight seeing had to be on the cards:
Venice beach
The riff-raff
Fat Pat drunk again
Our chariots....fun times in the mega van
Couldn't miss a visit to Sin City
View from our hotel
On the way to some off road buggy action
Wolfsburg West visit
Rich Kimball kindly opens his house up to group of VW friends and strangers from around the world, we were fortunate to be invited along
Visited Octavio at his shop...a couple of nice sambas inside currently
Octavio's brother Rafael also let us have a look around at his shop
Lenny Copps West Coast Classic Restorations
Lennys former body shop
Swung by Chip Foose's shop but they weren't conducting tours today unfortunately so we bee-lined it to Moon eyes to pick up some goodies and got a
full shop tour which was great
More pics soon - Pierside parts open house tomorrow and then Nicks Diner in the arvo/evening.....OCTO on saturday and the Classic on Sunday!! Busy few
days ahead
Cheers

Pierside Parts (formerly Veedub Parts Unlimited) opened their doors for some Hawaiian BBQ and some vw's on display!
Following Pierside Parts open house on the Friday, came the get together at Nicks Diner - originally started by the DKP club, the "cruise" has grown
into an event of its own!
Saturday morning bright and early saw the OCTO gates open at the Veteran's Memorial stadium in Long Beach
Thanks for making the effort to share pics Al
This is the one that caught my eye
