Lightbulb question

Is it possible for my right high beam and parking light to work but not my low beam?

Would this mean I need to replace the bulb or is it a fuse issue?

Car is pre 67 beetle

It is probably the low beam filament in the globe. New globe required if so.

You can test if it is the globe by swapping the globes LH and RH. If the problem follows the globe, then it is the globe. If the problem stays in the RH light, then it is something in the contacts or wiring.

Cheers but do globes have 3 filaments?

park bulb is a separate bulb
Fuses are most commonly the problem, check your owners manual, all 3 elements in each headlight have a separate fuse

Hi Costa

Yes, its a common thing for the low beam filament to burn out first... actually I've never had a high beam filament blow always the low beam as its slightly lower in wattage so the wire is slightly thinner... and blows first or breaks because its thinner wire..
