I watched the Rhys Millen one from last year (i think) on YouTube when he raced in the Hyundai Genesis 4.1L sponsored by Go-Pro - it was pretty impressive.
I think its a shame that the whole road has now been tarred. To me it was much more exciting when it was all dirt and even still when it was both dirt and tar.

Yeah as Mr Vass said - it was fully tarred in 2012 prior to that years event.

I think it was really exciting with the dirt/ashphalt combination.I wonder if anyone would ever run an F1 car there now?

Also I find it really interesting that by the top of the climb the car has lost something like 45% of power due to the drop in oxygen levels - something I never considered.

I like how some of the corners have hay bale shaped barriers.
But when they didn,t have enough they just got some spectators to stand there
