pete wood - September 4th, 2013 at 03:28 PM

Got some new tyres on, of course the atlas whitewalls got a bit of grease on them. What should I clean them with?

best to run new tyres with out them for a while forst as the rubber leaches into the flapper if the tyres are new

Hmm, bit late for that now.

I used 5 star wheel cleaner stuff when I had them, worked unbelievably good,

I use degreaser. seems to do the job without effort.

I do go through flappers quickly though. Tend to break away near the rim. There is a good youtube video on the correct way to install them.

Any other hints on making them last longer? my tyres are 295/50 r15. perhaps they last logner on higher walled tyres.
