So does anybody sell windage pushrod tubes for a 1200 motor ?
Do the fvee people use them ???
If anyone knows where I can get them please let me know asap
Cheers
Add a bit to the inner ends. There isn't much deflection in the push-rod there, so a slight reduction in inside diameter should be OK. Welding may be tricky, but silver soldering a sleeve inside should be fine.
Cheers Greg.
I was thinking of cutting the ends off a 1600 windage tube and putting that in first, then pushing the standard tube
inside.........................but would love to just buy some
Just cut some short lengths,(1" long?) of thin tube,
and flare the ends with a socket, so they don't fall in.
Or have some made from aluminium.
Then the normal tube and seal will fit straight over them.(holding them in place)
I am sure I have seen some pics in an old book.
Have a look through perhaps How to Hotrod VW Engines....or there was another book like that.

USA aftermarket brands for 356/912 are available (ex USA) at half reasonable pricing...claims that they are genuine Porsche>>>>?
I'd advise to install with split facing upwards and a line of silicon along the split...just in case.
Measurement at the outers of the concertina is ~170mm.
VW originals fit 356s so, assume that it works both ways.
Ah perfect.....a big thanks
Use pieces of old tubes for the extensions as Dave has suggested
Hi Matt, Ive done that in the past but I was just wanting to know if there was an "off the shelf" option.
