That black one is a very cool VW.

There's a mob in the UK that do Kombi funerals currently (all theirs are white). I'm sure I've posted them before.

I'm guessing the wheel base is stock, just the rear extended out.

No Lee, the VW transporter factory in Hanover did not 'make' hearses, but they did have the capacity to custom-make vehicles for special applications. However according to a thread on The Samba, these Kombi hearses were made by coach builder Fritz Frickenger in Augsburg.
