Time to get Wayne out there to show them how it's done in an aircooled...

Hi
Good effort. Richard Holz took a pretty quick Beetle down a few years ago and had trouble with too much traction, looks like this guy had the same
problem. Does anybody know who he is?

That is awesome, well done!
Suggest some skinnier tyres on the back to really get it smoking and reduce the too much traction issue. But be careful as when the tyres blow you
don't want to dump the weight on the exhaust or engine!
Cheers
Good effort Jayden!!
All that damage.......just to please some bogans
Damn Wayne put some smoke up didn't he!!
Good effort to the other guy..his beetle is to nice to do that in,lol...like someone else said, skinnier tyres next time....at least the crowd showed
respect
Nice work! Now for a split bus out there, I'm keen!!

Then it is not a vw.
I believe wayne did give it a shot one year and the car just rol
led off the track
lots or cars were having trouble, as they said to much rubber down in the middle of the burn out pad .
who cares how much rubber is on the track if you have horse power https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=10152206744177033

what is the motor combo and trans in that car
That's just car abuse. Expensive exercise to please a bunch of bogans.
They'd be much more impressed if it was a rat that was ready for the scrap yard.

if you want to watch here's live streaming from summernats from 1pm today
I don't see the logic in it myself to toast an engine, ruin your paint job on rear guards and toast tyres as well I think they all have way to much
money to waste.

Here is Holzl in 1991
8.5 minute burn out and blew the motor
Then talked a Japanese tourist in driving back to Campsie to pick up a new motor
Yes - reckoned there was 2cm of rubber on the track already.
Soaked his tyres for a week in an oil bath
This picture was on the front page of the Canberra Times
diesel is what we used to use and the sun for months on the roof of the shed
Hi
The guy must be getting a thrill from doing it, we all get thrills with our cars in different ways.
Steve
