Hi, I'm just after some real life feedback on the Passat Alltrack.
Are they worth buying ?
Cheers
theres an australian water cooled VW website that might have more chatter on that sort of thing, I found it the other day while searching on something on the touareg.
Are they still basically the same as an Audi Allroads, or a completely different setup these days ?
My cousin has had three Allroads in a row absolutely loves em... bit of light off-road capability, plenty of space for 3 teenage kids and all their
gear... all without being as tank'ish as a Prado or the other fancy type fourbys.
Audi makes two versions of the 'allroad quattro', one based on the larger A6 and another on the smaller A4. Both models now use the VW Group's
modular 'MLB' platform, which is for longitudinal engines.
While earlier Passats shared the Audi 80/A4 platforms, the 'B6' sixth-generation Passat of 2005 broke away and used the VW 'PQ46' platform', a
enlarged Golf 5 platform with transverse engine. The B7 of 2010 was just a facelift, and the model the Alltrack is based on. So no, while the Passat
Alltrack and the Audi Allroads are very similar in concept and in use, they aren't the same vehicle. The next Passat, the B8, will debut later this
year and will be based on the 'MQB' platform used on the latest Golf 7.

I took one for a test drive yesterday.........I was happy with how it drove etc. Seems like a good family car option.
my mate has one and loves it!
Do it!
Ordered one yesterday with all the fruit............just have to wait 4 months now
Father in law has one, almost 6 months old. Absolutely amazing car, you won't be disappointed!
Should have driven an Outback!
Just my biased opinion!

indeed. Got my wife a forester.....she loves it. I don't like it, mostly because its boring and relatively rough
Picked up our new Alltrack late last week, and have to say we are very happy with the car and the service from Nepean Motor Group (VW Penrith).
Hey, looks real nice, nearly 4 months from order to delivery, guess that means there was no room to haggle the price.
