Hi everyone,
For the last five years I've been attending the VW Classic and OCTO meets every June in sunny California, plus a few extra events here and there at
different times of the year.
Last year I put on my group tour guide hat and escorted 12 other keen Aussie VW enthusiasts over to Los Angeles and Las Vegas for a 2 week trip. From
all reports everyone had a blast with lots of memories and laughs along the way - an article in VWMA recently documented what we got up to but a full
photo history of the trip can be found here:
http://dasrestohaus.com.au/gallery2/v/USA+VW+Tour+2013/
I'm doing the same this year, with 7 out of the 12 spots already filled. We have one place set aside for the winner of our DAS Resto Parts
competition which will be drawn on March 3. That leaves four spots still available. Full itinerary and prices (which are subject to change
depending on flight costs at time of booking) can be found at http://dasrestoparts.com.au
Please contact Al on al@dasrestohaus.com.au if you are interested but please don't wait too long. I will be closing the spots soon even if they are
not filled as accommodation etc has to be booked. Please also note the later a place is confirmed the more expensive it will be due to flight cost
increases.
Cheers
Al
Possible changes in place - Bugorma promotions has just announced the Classic date has moved back two weeks to 21st of June which has upset a huge
amount of people that have booked flights etc already. I have some alternative plans in place and will work out details over the next few days.

Bugger, so will the OCTO show be moved as well?

Piss it all up in Vegas.. i would bet black.
Well the organisers of the Classic threw a spanner in the works and moved the show back two weeks to 21 June due to a venue conflict…..but alas
I've rejigged the entire logistics of the trip to take in the quarter mile drag meet and show up in Sacramento (Bugorama) which I've attended a few
times previously. We'll then hang around for Pomona and OCTO, plus a replacement show which is being organised on the date of the classic…so all is
not lost!
Also congratulations to the winner of our major prize - a spot on the USA VW Tour in May/June - Maya Kent. There were 8 people in the final draw and
luckily for Maya her name was pulled out! We will be update pics of the trip come May of course
Congrats to Maya
Sounds good I hope u all have a great time
