For the money being asked it may be worth re-chroming your old bumpers - qld chromeplating are doing my type 3 bumpers for the sort of money being
asked for the bumpers on ebay.
Haven't got mine back yet so can't comment on the quality - but photos on website looks good. They told me its a 3 week turn about from dropping
off to collecting. I'll let you know and post a picture of the finished product when I get them back. When I dropped mine off the guy there was
showing me bumpers that were sent to him from NSW for work.
In the meantime if you want a look -

ive got the stainless bars for t1,t3 and kg. $800 a pair.. look good and fit well.
From looking at others made in Vietnam they would be very thin and flimsy
Get the old ones straightened re chromed
I have seen good ones out of Vietnam.
Modest prices, fitted okay, and looked real good on the car.
A good original, reworked properly, is going to cost several times more.
Stainless can be reworked, and still look good, if there is an issue.
They can be repaired after a ding.
Can be neglected and look okay.
Will clean up real quick when they are.
And will never peel or rust.
They have got a lot going for them!
Bumpers are back - look good and straight. Mirror finish - but should be for the money paid. (About the same as the ebay price quoted at the start of
this post). Triple plated - copper, nickel and chrome.
Advice received was to paint inside surface - so I etched primed and top coated with a hammer finish enamel. This will prevent it rusting from the
inside out.
For the polished surface just keep the wax up.
There is a thread on thesamba on this with some first hand feedback.
