With great sadness I announce the passing of Bill Moore, better known as Country Buggy Bill who single handed brought the country buggy story and history to the world ,not only was Bill involved in historical aspects of VW in Australia but a active member who helped run and organise VW events dating back to the very first VW nationals all those years ago. Bill was a great mate who will be remembered and treasured by many in the VW community, a service will be announced shortly Bill leaves behind his wife Shirley and daughter Allison and grandchildren. aged 64 may you rest in peace Bill,

Bill was a wealth of knowledge when it came to CBs. I've had many conversations with him over the years, even sought his approval when I built the first rat CB back in '05 (he loved it ;) )
He really has had a huge part in preserving the history of the marque in Australia, and he will be very sadly missed.

Omg I'm in shock I was only getting some more valuable advice from Bill a month back and getting details for Berry Blast, I will now try and break this sad news to my 10 year old son who idolised Bill and his knowledge of the CB, my sincere condolences to Bills wife and family..thank you Steve for letting the community know of Bills passing

It is sad news in the CB world that we lost Bill Moore (country buggy Bill) to cancer yesterday. You will be missed Bill not only for all your help to others in the VW world but as a good friend. I'll miss our chats.

A big man with a big heart, always up for a chat... Remember many bbqs at mullers or pre day of nights chatting to bill, always friendly and helpful, always happy to share. Will be missed by many.

I first met Bill in the yearly 90s when he tracked me down to look at my buggy.
I will miss Bill for his friendship and advice.
