hi, i just fitted widened rear guards[fiberglass] they r very thin and will damage easy[rocks etc]. any ideas or suggestions on what to line them with on the inside. thanks greg
you can buy a rubberized paint that you can paint the insides with a few coats may help
you can get self adhesive bituminised pads that can be cut to fit the inside of your guards. they are about 4mm thick.
more fiberglass?
actually, that's probably the easiest way.
Surely if you were to tape up the outside and take them to a boat builder, they wouldn't charge you much to blast a bit of chop strand though there
next they had a bigger job on.
Just a thought
old wetsuit, or buy similar material from Clark rubber

If they are that thin, are they legit/road legal? I've seen a few glass panels and they are usually quite thick and solid. I'm not sure but aren't
any things like these required to be certified or tested as safe and stable by the manufacturer? I know the ones for Baja bugs etc have to be on an
approved manufacturers list with qld transport etc, same as glass guards and bonnets for land cruisers.
I'm sure there are a few cheaply made ones around, but not sure if they are road legal.
Orminoid. Thick bitumastic that you can paint on from Bunnings.
