So seen a few aeroplanes and yachts cross the Tasman, but paddling across in a kayak!
So this chap Scott Donaldson is paddling across the Tasman, he arrived on Lord Howe Island after two weeks at sea from Coffs Harbour,
some 660 klms. He plans to do some repairs than paddle to New Zealand around four weeks at sea over 1,500klms. Yep some would say
crazy but I think it is great and wish him all the best!
In Scott's words, his bedroom, kitchen, dining room and lounge, the bathrooms outside.
Here is a link to Scott's site.

Crazy bastard ....... But kudos to him. Fair weather and safe travels, that cabin looks little in the photo, I can only imagine what it would feel like in the middle of the night in rough seas!!
Hope he's had better luck than the last fella that tried it. At least he can say he lived life to the full.
So the two weekly trading ship was in over the weekend, she headed back to Port Macquaire
on the high tide, the smaller vessel alongside set off in the opposite direction for New Zealand!
Scott Donaldson set off at around 10am today from Lord Howe Island aiming for the west coast
of New Zealand's north island, six to eight weeks at sea! Good on him and good luck!
Doesn't look like this trip has gone to plan.
