Just had to share, while working on my vw strip down today, I got to lift the back seat and have a peek under the carpet in the luggage area and was very very happy to see no rust there. I have been worried about what I would find under there LOL but even the carpet is in great condition. So yes I may of gotten a little bit excited about this. I know it may be a differnt story when I strip it back to metal but so far it looks good.

Good for you mate, I understand how you would feel. There's probably a thousand more on this forum who have felt the same way.

Good reason to get excited. Rust is inevitable with old cars but finding rust free areas is way cool
