What has everyones experience been with blue slips? I looked at a ratty 64 Beetle today with a few rust holes that I will be getting fixed by a repair shop, and an exhaust leak that I can sort out no worries.

The car however has a few surface rust patches on the roof, that I will cover with some ankor wax, but I feel like I might have a few issues if I get a strict examiner.

Im really keen on the car, although as it will be my driver I want to get it on the road asap, not be going to/ from the blue slippers for months.
