We like to go overseas once a year and have already booked for next year and planning for 2016.
My wife asked me yesterday what else would I like to do in 2016?
I replied that I would like to attend the VW meeting at Valla.
Looks like I have a goal for 2016 to keep me mobile, haven't been able to figure out how to fit a mobility scooter into the Beetle yet.
Will be researching all I can about Valla and looking forward to seeing and meeting everybody.
Now to get Herbie ready for the big trip from Hobart.

No, not the mainland, because of my mobility problem we usually take a cruise somewhere, followed by a trip to the mainland in our caravan.
This year and for the foreseeable future the caravan is out, hence the purchase of the Beetle for something to do over winter. Love it, but know very
little about these beasts.
Looking at the possibility of fitting a rack on the back.

Thanks Rob, but towing a trailer and putting it on the ferry is a big No No.
It would be cheaper to buy another bug on the mainland and scrap it on the return home.
What about renting a scooter over this side of the pond?
As time draws nearer I will be checking out all aspects and options.
As long as I am breathing and capable of driving I'll be there regardless.
I understand these people rent mobility scooters and would deliver to Valla. They charge $80 a week at the moment
